LA COSTITUZIONE DI FRANCOFORTE: UN SOGNO INFRANTO.

Abstract (It)
L’articolo esamina un periodo complesso per la storia tedesca, vale a dire quello che va dal 1806 al 1849. Dopo un excursus sulle strutture istituzionali della Confederazione del Reno, della Confederazione Germanica, il saggio prosegue con l’analisi della rivoluzione del 1848 e con le relative conseguenze che essa ebbe sul panorama tedesco: l’elezione di un’Assemblea Costituente e la Costituzione di Francoforte. Il lavoro termina con il bilancio del biennio ’48 – 49 e dei suoi effetti sul costituzionalismo tedesco.

The article examines a complex period for German history, namely the one from 1806 to 1849. After an excursus on the institutional structures of the Reno Confederation and the Germanic Confederation, the essay continues with the analysis of the revolution of 1848 and its consequences on the German landscape: the election of a Constituent Assembly and the Constitution of Frankfurt. The work ends with the two-year budget ’48 – 49 and its effects on German constitutionalism.
